Tammy Castleberry has served the Eagle Mountain-Saginaw ISD as the Communications since 2007. Prior to her current position, Tammy was a high school Communications Applications teacher and also teaches as an adjunct professor at Tarrant County Community College. Tammy received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Studies with a minor in Spanish (she is bilingual English-Spanish) from Texas State University and her Master of Arts degree in Communication Studies from The University of North Texas.
While at the University of North Texas, Tammy conducted research examining the effects of teacher turnover in Texas and co-authored a paper: “Examining Teacher Turnover in Low-Performing, Multi-Cultural Schools: Relationships among Emotional Labor, Communication Symmetry, and Intent to Leave” which is published in Communication Research Reports (2008 v.1) issue of the journal.
Tammy is a former Miss El Paso USA (2001-2002) and was a co-ed cheerleader at the University of Texas-El Paso (UTEP).
