Barbara Downing  Assistant Superintendent of Educational Support Services

{Barbara Downing} Barbara Downing became Assistant Superintendent for Educational Support Services in Eagle Mountain-Saginaw ISD in July 2008.  Mrs. Downing came to EM-SISD from Eagle Pass ISD where she had served as Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction since 2004.  Mrs. Downing has served in public education for more than twenty years with twelve of those in administration.  She has also served as an adjunct faculty member for Southwest Texas Junior College.    Barbara Downing earned a Bachelor of Science degree in 1976 from Texas A&M University and a Masters of Education from Sul Ross University.  Her certifications include:  Elementary Biology, Elementary General, Kindergarten, Mid-Management Administrator, and Superintendent.  She has been involved in many service and professional organizations and has served on numerous committees throughout her educational career.   Mrs. Downing has four children and two grandchildren.
