Kristin Courtney  Director of Communications

Kristin Courtney joined the communications department as Director of Communications in September of 2009. "I am really pleased to be a part of the District and have the opportunity to serve the students, faculty and administrators.  In addition to the daily items that are handled by the Communications Department, I look forward to working with all stakeholders to help shape the image of the District as we continue to grow." Kristin has 20 years of strategic marketing and communications experience.  She has worked for Dr Pepper/Seven Up as the National Promotion Manager for 7 UP and worked as Account Supervisor for several promotion and event agencies. She has national media experience, coordinating programs during national sporting events as well as experience working with the local media in crisis situations.  Her background also includes writing corporate training materials and organizing national sales meetings. "I look forward to visiting the campuses and departments to hear about their vision and goals for the District," explains Kristin.  "Together, we can build a strong EM-S ISD for years to come.  I welcome input at any time, whether it is an idea, a concern or the celebration of something great." Kristin graduated from the University of Kansas with a degree in Journalism and minor in Advertising.  She has five children in the District and is active member of the Executive Board of the Lake Pointe Elementary PTA. kcourtney@ems-isd.net 817-232-0880 x2704
