• About Our School

Construction for Lake Pointe Elementary began in the 2006-07 school year. We opened our doors to students in August of 2008. During construction, a protective owl nest was discovered in the attic area, above the library, which halted construction of the school for two weeks. This discovery is the reason our mascot is an owl, named Ollie. By doing so, we are keeping the spirit of our protected owl, that flew away, alive and well here at Lake Pointe Elementary.
We have many programs available for our students. Some are offered during the school hours while others are offered after school or on Saturdays.
    • Tutoring before school
    • Saturday Enrichment Program (invitation only)
    • Honor Choir (4th and 5th grades)
    • Leadership Academy (5th grade)
    • PACE (Gifted and Talented Program)
    • Destination Imagination (various teams)
    • Spelling Bee (3rd, 4th, and 5th grades)
    • Ready, Set, Teach with Boswell High School Students
Lake Pointe Elementary is fortunate to have such amazing parental and community support. If you are interested in joining our PTA, or WATCHDOG programs, or even just want to volunteer to help out around the school, fill out a background check form and turn it into the main office. Once you are cleared we will put you to work!
We love to celebrate our students birthdays if you would like to provide store bought treats (cupcakes or cookies only) to help celebrate on your child's special day. Please drop the treats off in the office and we will make sure the treats are delivered to your child's classroom before the end of the day. Due to FMNV guidelines birthday treats can only be provided at the end of the day as a snack, for the students, 30 minutes prior to school being released. This snack is during instruction time, therefore, anything that has to be cut and served by the teacher will not be allowed or delivered to the classroom. The teacher must be informed ahead of time if you plan on providing a birthday treat. Due to latex being an airborne allergen latex balloons are not allowed on campus.
