    Senior Meeting: 

    Senior meeting on April 10th starting at 9:05 in the Fine Arts Center.  Students who would normally report to HCTC at that time need to report to the Fine Arts Center that morning.  During this meeting Seniors will get information on Prom, Senior Celebration, Graduation, Graduation Regalia, Scholarships, and Counseling updates.

     

    Report Your Scholarships:

    All seniors are encouraged to submit all scholarship offers directly to Mrs. Piland. We tabulate, report and honor all recipients during the Senior Awards Ceremony in May. Last year’s class reported over $8 million in scholarships and we believe the class of 2018 is capable of more than $10 million! Please contact Mrs. Piland, BHS Counselor, with any questions and she will be happy to help.

     

    Prom: 

    Prom will be on May 5, 2018 at Texas Motor Speedway.  

    This year's prom theme: "A Night at the Oscars" A Red Carpet Event

    7-11PM at the Speedway Club

    Tickets go on sale April 11th - 25th (No ticket sales on April 12th due to STAAR testing; All Attendance hours must be made up before tickets can be purchased.)

    April 11 & 13: $70 per ticket

    April 16th - 20th: $75 per ticket

    April 23rd - 25th: $85 per ticket

     

    BOS Beau Pageant: 

    The 3rd  Annual BOS Beau Pageant will be January 25th at 7:00PM in the Fine Arts Center.  Admission is $5 and all proceeds will go to support the senior class.  Look foward to seeing you there!

     

    Give My Regards: 

    Give My Regards will take place on February 5, 2018.  Give My Regards is a long-standing tradition at Boswell that honors students in grades 9 – 12 as well as showcase student talents.  Class favorites, most athletic, most studious, along with Mr. and Mrs. BHS are just some of the areas that students are recognized. Come join us for a fun and entertaining evening. Admission is $5 and doors will open at 7:00PM.

     

    Graduation Regalia:

    All Seniors must be dressed in a cap, gown, and stole to walk.  The deadline to order your cap, gown, and stole before a late fee of $20 is assessed is January 31, 2018.  To avoid a late fee please choose one of the following for ordering:

    If you already have a cap and gown, you still need to purchase a stole for $25 from Balfour.  To order just a stole you must order on campus or visit the Balfour office. If you have any questions, please feel free to call Balfour's office at 817-685-7777.

    For those that choose to decorate your cap you may only cover 25% of the area of the cap. No 3D objects may be attached to the cap.  Below are examples of approved caps.

    Senior Awards

    Senior awards will be on Thursday, May 17, 2018. Senior awards night is an opportunity to celebrate with our seniors as they are honored for scholarships and recognitions that they received.

    Senior Walk

    Senior Walk will take place on May 22, 2018.  This is an event were seniors have the opportunity to visit their elementary and middle school campuses to say thank you to former teachers as well as be honored by younger peers for their achievement of graduating high school.  Seniors will report to the Fine Arts Center 5th period.  Seniors who have 5th period lunch will attend 4th period lunch on this day.  Seniors must have Cap and Gown to participate in the Senior Walk.

    Baccalaureate

    Baccalaureate will be held Wednesday, May 23rd at 7:00PM in the Fine Arts Center. Seniors that choose to participate will need to have their cap and gowns for the ceremony.

    Senior Sunset

    Senior Sunset will follow the Baccalaureate ceremony on May 23rd and will be held in the Pioneer Stadium at 7:45PM.  This is a time for all Seniors to reflect on the school year with their peers while having a final photo taken with the sun setting behind the Class of 2018.

    Graduation Rehearsal

    Graduation practice will be held on May 31st in the Newcom Gym at 9:05.  Seniors are to bring their cap, gown, and stole to graduation practice for a dress rehearsal and senior picture.  Attendance will be take. Seniors will receive their stole for graduation at this time.

    Graduation:

    Graduation will be held on June 1, 2018 at 5:00 PM at the Fort Worth Convention Center.

    *ARRIVAL TIME FOR SENIORS WILL BE GIVEN AT GRADUATION PRACTICE. Be thinking about what you will wear! *

    Parking Garages adjacent to the convention center cost $18 dollars to park.

    Dress Code for Graduation -

    Gentleman: Black pants and dark shoes preferred with button up shirt. 

    Ladies:  Sunday best with black or nude shoes preferred.  Make sure you can walk in your shoes.

    Check-in process –

    Upon arrival to the Fort Worth Convention Center all graduating seniors will be checked in.  NO cell phones, purses, keys, or any item other than the graduate’s cap, gown, and stole will be allowed in the staging area.  Please make plans with family in friends to hold your items and have a plan to where you will meet after the ceremony.

    Senior Celebration:

    This year Senior Celebration will take place at Main Event Fort Worth North at Presidio Junction the night of graduation.  A parent letter and consent form are attached to this email from our Senior Celebration Parent Sponsors who are hosting the event.  Please make sure you student fill out the consent form and returns it to Mrs. Benson by Friday, April 6, 2018 if they plan on attending.

    All students will need to be at Boswell High School to check in between 10:30PM-11:00PM by the cafeteria. Busses will promptly leave at 11:00PM.

    Rose or Chocolate 

    The BHS Student Council will place roses or chocolate bars (with a BHS wrapper) tied with blue and yellow ribbon with a personal note from you on the chair of a graduate you wish to recognize on graduation day. This is a wonderful way to honor graduates and support to BHS student council for only $3 dollars per rose or chocolate bar. 

    Simply complete the form on the webpage. The note on the bottom will be attached to card stock and placed on your selected graduate’s chair with a rose or chocolate bar on graduation day.  All monies need to go to Katie Keyes at BHS by May 22nd, 2018. (Checks payable to BHS student council). Anyone may purchase for a graduating senior!
