Todd Marchand serves Chisholm Trail High School and Ed Willkie Middle School as Instrumental Specialist, assisting with band rehearsals, performances, and competitions at both schools as well as teaching beginning low brass classes and private lessons.
Mr. Marchand earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees in music education from Texas Christian University, where he performed in the university bands, jazz ensemble, and orchestra, arranged for the marching band and jazz ensemble, and served as a graduate teaching assistant. As a music educator, he has served as a band director, private lesson instructor, and clinician for Fort Worth/Dallas-area middle and high schools. As a trombonist, he performs regularly in Fort Worth/Dallas-area orchestras, chamber ensembles, and churches.
Mr. Marchand has written and arranged warm-ups, daily drills, technical studies, and original music and arrangements for marching and concert bands, as well as more than 100 pieces for intrumental soloists, brass ensembles, woodwind ensembles, and choirs. He is the owner/principal of Con Spirito Music, which publishes his works.
Mr. Marchand holds active teacher certifications in Secondary Music (Grades 6-12), Secondary English (Grades 6-12), and Secondary English Language Arts (Grades 6-12). In addition to band/instrumental music classes, he has taught English grades 9, 10, and 11, Journalism and Photojournalism, Media Literacy, and SAT Preparation courses. He has coached students to district, region, area, and state awards in both academic and music competitions.
Mr. Marchand is a member of the Texas Music Educators Association and the American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers (ASCAP).
