The Congressional Art Competition reception was held on Saturday, April 18, at TCC Trinity River Campus, where Boswell sophomore, Ashley Prachan won third place for her photograph of the Isis Theater sign, "Welcome to the Stockyards." Freshman Maggie Oliveria and Sydney New were also recognized at the award reception. Their photos will hang in Granger's TCC Trinity exhibition. Congratulations ladies.
The Saginaw High School
band and choir traveled to Winter Park, Colorado to compete in the Winter Park
Ski-Music Festival, where both teams received “Best in Class” awards and superior

Anthony Mayfield, senior at Boswell High
School traveled to Washington DC to accept the Ron Brown Scholarship. He is one
of two recipients from the State of Texas and one of 28 nationwide to receive
the honor. This scholarship awards over $40,000 to each recipient. Anthony will
be attending Stanford University in the fall of 2015 with a full scholarship.
Chisholm Trail High School hosted the District 5-5A Track and Field meet on April 14-15, at the Ranger Stadium, where eight CTHS athletes qualified for Regionals. The Texas Athletic Trainers Association selected Saginaw High School seniors, Alexis Manalo and Analilia Resendiz as Academic All State recipients. They are the fifth and sixth student athletic trainers to have earned this award in the history of the school. Congratulations ladies on your accomplishments.
Boswell's varsity boys broke their school's record in the District 5-5A Track Meet held on April 14-15, at Chisholm Trail High School. Reggie Macon, Tyrell Fisher, Anthony Ramirez and Isaac Marquez lead the region mile relay and broke the record by two seconds. SHS competed in the District 5-5A Track and Field Meet on April 14-15, at Chisholm Trail High School's Ranger Stadium. The Lady Rough Riders won second place and the boy's won third. SHS is sending 11 athletes to compete in the Regional track meet at Texas Tech University in Lubbock on May 1-2.

Rawls Golf Club, where Boswell’s varsity boys were competing for a place at

Webster is a finalist in the 2015 Circle Theatre High School Playwriting
Project. Morgan will receive a scholarship through Texas Wesleyan University, a

On Saturday, April 11, the Saginaw High School color guards competed in the North Texas Color Guard Association Circuit Championship. The junior varsity team finished fourth in their class defeating all varsity programs and breaking the school record for the highest score earned by a JV team. On Saturday, April 11, the Chisholm Trail High School winter guard competed in the North Texas Color Guard Association Championship and won first place. Out of all of the schools that compete at NTCA, CTHS is the only one to have had both its varsity and junior varsity team win their individual championships.
The Boy's District Golf Tournament was held at Canyon West on April 7-8. Boswell's first team won district by 47 shots and the second team won third. Members of the team placed individually as well. The team will compete in Regionals on April 15-16 in Lubbock.
On Friday, April 10, the Parkview Elementary Theatre Club presented “Annie Live on Stage.” Students have been rehearsing nonstop since they auditioned for Annie in December.
