This is my sixth year in EMS ISD. Prior to coming here, I taught and coached in the Arlington ISD at Arlington HS. I began coaching there in 1999. I also coached the golf teams at Nolan Catholic HS from 1987-1989 and again from 1993-1994.

I played golf in high school at Nolan Catholic and was on the varsity team all 4 years. I was the individual State Champion in TCIL both my junior and senior years. Our team won the State Championship both years as well. My golf continued as I attended Texas Wesleyan University. I was on the team all 4 years as well. I won the Pecan Plantation Invitational in Granbury during my senior year.  I played in the District Tournament and finished 3rd. My final event in college was playing in the NAIA National Tournament my senior year, 1985, I finished 16th in the nation.

I then took a job as an Assistant Pro at Ridglea CC in Ft. Worth and worked there learning the golf business. But the golf bug still itched me, so I decided to try to play professionally. I was in the right place at the right time, as there was a new tour developing. It was the Tournament Players Association. (It is now the Web.com Tour.) I played 2 years full time on that tour. I also played on The Dakotas Tour, The Fairway Tour, and other events since then. I still play to a 0 handicap.
