Mr. Walker is very excited to be in his 12th year at Creekview Middle School. After growing up in Butte Montana, he decided to break his mother's heart and move to Texas to become a jazz trumpet player.  He received his music education degree from UNT where he graduated cum laude, and then broke her heart again as he went into acting instead of teaching.  He finally saw the error of his ways and began teaching elementary music at Maria Moreno Elementary School in Dallas, as well as teaching for the alternative certification program at DISD.  After four years in Dallas he decided to make the trek to Saginaw and teach choir and theatre at Creekview. Besides being Creekview Middle School’s Theatre and Choir teacher, Jason is an accomplished actor, composer, and musician.  Some of his favorite acting roles have been Barry in The Boys Next Door, Nicely Nicely in Guys & Dolls, Jeffery in Godspell, and Schroder in A Charlie Brown Christmas.  As a composer he has written music for band, choir, the independent film 72 HOURS, and for the stage.  His musical, A New Muse, was the winner of Main Street Theatre’s Playwriting Festival, and then proceeded to make its world premiere to much acclaim.  Jason is much sought after as a music director and piano player throughout the Metroplex. He is also the Choir Director / Worship Leader for Agape Memorial UMC in Dallas. He was awarded "Secondary Teacher of the Year" for the Eagle Mountain Saginaw School District for the 2008-2009 school year, as well as Creekview Middle school's Teacher of the year for 2014-2015. He is a member of TMEA as well as TETA. He is married to his lovely wife Victoria, who is the music and art teacher at Elkins Elementary, and is  the proud papa of Aubree, age 10, Elijah age 8, and Elliot age 6, and spends as much time as possible playing with them.
