Principal: Chaney Curran
I graduated from Denison High School in Denison, Texas and received my Bachelor’s Degree in Art from Austin College in Sherman, Texas in 2002. In 2006, I completed my Master's Degree in Administration from Southeastern Oklahoma State University in Durant, Oklahoma. In August 2014, I earned my doctorate in Curriculum & Instruction from the University of North Texas in Denton.
This is my 11th year in education. I was an art teacher in Sherman ISD for 5 years and completed a year a district-wide Administrative Intern for Eagle Mountain-Saginaw ISD in 2009-2010. I was the assistant principal at Willow Creek Elementary from 2010-2013 and served as the assistant principal at Remington Point during the 2013-2014 school year.
My husband, Scott, and I have been married for six years. He is the head boys' basketball coach at Byron Nelson High School in Northwest ISD. We have one four-legged “child,” Duchess. She is my 5-year-old warmblood mare that is learning the ropes of jumping and entering into her first season of competition.
I am fortunate to be a part of such a caring and dedicated staff. We strive daily to ensure that we meet the needs of all learners so that they can reach their full educational potential. It is also our mission to teach our students character and responsibility so that they will be outstanding citizens of their community.
Please feel free to contact me if I may be of assistance to you or your student.
