• Mrs. Bowman

Mrs. Bowman is thrilled to teach at Boswell High School for the fourth year with both the Science and Career and Technical Education departments. She was a teacher at Fort Worth ISD for P.L. Dunbar High School for 2 years, then for Wedgwood Middle School for 6 years where she taught Biology to 8th grade students!

Mrs. Bowman is originally from a very small town in Oklahoma. She graduated from East Central University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a minor in Chemistry, with a Pre-Medicine emphasis. She was active in theater and is a member of the Alpha Psi Omega Theater Honor Fraternity. After graduation, she married her first and only love and moved to Fort Worth, Texas. She was accepted into the inaugural class of the Texas Teaching Fellows alternative certification program and began her teaching internship at Forest Meadow Jr. High in Richardson in 2005. She found her passion and has never looked back.

Mrs. Bowman has two wonderful sons, AJ who is 7 and entering Second Grade this year, and Ben who is 4, and a fantastic husband who makes dinner many nights! She is an avid Science-Fiction and Fantasy fan and often attends Sci-Fi conventions around the country, including Dragon Con in Atlanta and Star Wars Celebration in Florida. She is also a crafter and pursues many varied interests including sewing costumes, cross-stitching, quilting, and drawing/painting.
