• District Assessments

Eagle Mountain-Saginaw ISD is evaluated by several state mandated assessments and reports. See below for the various accountability reports that are issued for Eagle Mountain-Saginaw ISD.

The Texas Academic Performance Reports (TAPR)
This report pulls together a wide range of information on the performance of students in each school and district in Texas every year. Performance is shown disaggregated by student groups, including ethnicity and low income status. The reports also provide extensive information on school and district staff, programs, and student demographics.

    No Child Left Behind (NCLB)

The No Child Left Behind Act (NCLB) requires each school district that receives certain federal Title I funds to distribute a “No Child Left Behind Report Card” to parents and the community. The report includes assessment results showing two-year trends for each subject and grade tested, graduation rates, Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP) reporting, and professional qualifications of teachers. State of Texas Assessment of Academic Readiness (STAAR)
STAAR is the state’s student testing program. Over the course of their public school career, students will be tested in the core subject areas–reading, writing, mathematics, science, and social studies. The number of tests taken each year will vary from two to four, depending on the grade level.

The STAAR tests for elementary and middle school grades will cover the same subjects and grades as the previous testing program, the Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills (TAKS). At the high school level, 12 (EOC) assessments will replace grade-specific tests.
