EMS Local Scholarships are now available.
Scholarship applications will be accepted between January 8, 2018 and February 16, 2018. Applications are available now .
This application automatically considers you for many local scholarships, including the EMS ISD Education Foundation, PTO and PTA scholarships, local business scholarships and more!
You only need to complete this single application to be eligible for dozens of local scholarships, which generally range from $500 to $1,000 each. The criteria for selecting winners varies from scholarship to scholarship. For example, some scholarships are awarded based upon grades and test scores, while others are considered for extra-curricular activities and citizenship, so please answer each question with as much detail as possible. These scholarships may also be awarded to students interested in a particular field of study (i.e. education, athletics, etc.), so it is important that you complete the entire application, along with submitting two teacher recommendation forms. Incomplete applications will not be considered.

Personalized Course Selection Presentation
Who: 9th -11th graders and their parents
About the meetings: We will review the registration process for the 2018-2019 school year. This process allows the student to choose their class as well as the class periods. We will review what the process looks like, timeline and what needs to be done to make the most of this system. There will be three identical sessions conducted throughout the district for you to choose from.
- January 4th at Boswell High School at 6:00 PM in the Pioneer Lecture Hall Presentation Survey
- January 17th at Saginaw High School
- January 18th at Chisholm Trail High School
2018-2019 Course Registration for 10th and 11th graders
Who: 10th -11th graders
When: January 23rd - February 8th
About the meetings: We will be presenting in student's history classes the overview of the scheduling process, reviewing graduation requirements and their 4 year plan. We will hold these meetings the week of January 23rd. The following week, January 29th we will be sitting down with each student in their English classes to finalize their requests. We will start with 10th graders and work to 11th graders the following week. Students and parents have access to review and modify their course selection in Career Cruising until the time we meet with students one on one. Once their request is submitted then they will have to wait until May to make changes.

Counselor CornerStarting on September 13th: The counselors are available in the Library to meet with all students during all 3 lunch periods Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. No appointment is needed. All questions are welcome and we can help with college, career, and scholarship searches.
