My name is Amanda White and I am excited to begin this school year as the counselor at Saginaw Elementary. I was born and raised right here in Saginaw. I attended Saginaw Elementary, Bryson Elementary, Wayside Middle School and Boswell High School. I graduated from University of North Texas with a degree in education. Following my time there, I went to Texas Christian University to obtain my degree in school counseling. This school year will be my 14th year in education.
I have been married to my husband, who is also a Boswell High School graduate, for 14 years. We have 2 amazing children that bring us so much joy.
My hope is that I can support all children at Saginaw Elementary by providing the emotional and social learning pieces that current research says is a key part to their success in academics.
I have heard the saying "It takes a village to raise a child." Having 2 children of my own has taught me that being a parent can be a challenging experience with no instruction manual. As parents we all need support and encouragement. Each day you send your precious little ones to us here at school it is a privilege and honor to be able to care for each of them. Consider me part of your village! Together we will support these children in growing into amazing people.
