My name is Amanda White and I am excited to begin this school year as the counselor at Saginaw Elementary. I was born and raised right here in Saginaw. I attended Saginaw Elementary, Bryson Elementary, Wayside Middle School and Boswell High School. I graduated from University of North Texas with a degree in education. Following my time there, I went to Texas Christian University to obtain my degree in school counseling. This school year will be my 14th year in education.I have been married to my husband, who is also a Boswell High School graduate, for 14 years. We have 2 amazing children that bring us so much joy.My hope is that I can support all children at Saginaw Elementary by providing the emotional and social learning pieces that current research says is a key part to their success in academics.I have heard the saying "It takes a village to raise a child." Having 2 children of my own has taught me that being a parent can be a challenging experience with no instruction manual. As parents we all need support and encouragement. Each day you send your precious little ones to us here at school it is a privilege and honor to be able to care for each of them. Consider me part of your village! Together we will support these children in growing into amazing people.
