The 2016-2017 school year marks my eleventh year as an educator. I began teaching at Shady Brook Elementary in Hurst-Euless-Bedford ISD as a third grade reading, writing, and social studies teacher. In 2007, I came to Eagle Mountain-Saginaw ISD to open Prairie Vista Middle School as an English teacher and tennis coach. Prior becoming a Creekview Colt, I was a teacher at Watson High School, where I taught English II and III. It has always been my passion to serve our community and to help our students to accomplish their goals. I am so excited to be a part of Creekview’s Tradition of Excellence as a Colt!
I began my career as an educator after graduating from Southeastern Oklahoma State in Durant, Oklahoma where I met my husband. After spending two years teaching, I started working on my Masters in Public Administration at the University of Texas at Arlington, which I completed in 2010. In 2011, I started working on my Doctorate at Tarleton State University and earned my principal certification.
My husband, Adam, and I stay active in our community, and with our busy schedules we take as many opportunities to enjoy being outdoors as we possibly can. I enjoy reading a good book in my living room and watching a good movie every once in a while when one comes out in theatres.
I am looking forward to an amazing school year and continuing the great work we do here at Creekview! Please know that I am available for any questions via phone, email, or a face to face conference.Meghan CryerAssistant Principal"Success is a journey, not a destination; The doing is often more important than the outcome."-Arthur AsheContact Information:Creekview Middle School6716 Bob HangerFort Worth, TX 76179817-237-4261 ext. firstname.lastname@example.org
