Language Proficiency Assessment Committee
LPAC plays a pivotal role in the education of English Language Learners (ELLs).
As a representative for the ELL students, the LPAC becomes the voice that initiates, articulates and determines the best instructional program for the student.
It functions as a link between the home and the school in appropriate decisions regarding placement, assessment and special programs that impact the student.
Identify English language learners based on criteria established by the state shall be provided a full opportunity to participate in a bilingual education or English as a second language (ESL) program.
