Hello, I am Mrs. Amanda Clarke. I am a second year teacher at Boswell High School. I am extremely excited to be here in part because of all of the wonderful things I have experienced during my first year here.
I completed my student teaching at Fossil Ridge in Keller ISD in the spring of 2016 where I taught Human Services, Lifetime Wellness and Nutrition, Child Development and Culinary. I graduated from the University of North Texas with a degree in Family and Consumer Science.
Before starting our family, I had the opportunity to go to school and play college basketball in Vancouver, Canada. I believe having this experience will help me in the classroom. I understand how important effective communication, teamwork, and motivating others is. I plan to transfer these skills to the classroom where I will build relationships with each of my students.
My husband and children are my biggest fans. Family is the most important thing in my life. We have a lot of fun together. I refer to them a lot in class when reflecting on my experiences. Riley, 5, is my oldest. Outside of school, we are constantly working on his reading and math skills together. I also coach his soccer team. Casey, my youngest, 3, is like any other two year old; He keeps me busy and on my toes! I am blessed with a great family.
I look forward to a great year! Boswell is a great school with teachers that truly love and support each student.
