I graduated from East Central University in Oklahoma in 1986. In case you didn't know that is Sooner Country! I am a Certified Licensed Academic Language Therapist and a member of the Academic Language Therapy Association and International Dyslexia Association. I am currently teaching Dyslexia classes incorporating the Take Flight Curriculum, a comprehensive reading intervention from Scottish Rite Hospital that benefits children with dyslexia. During my years of experience, I have taught many grade levels including first, second, third, sixth and Title 1 Reading.
I have been married for 28 years to my husband, Barry. We have a daughter named Jade who is 23 years old. She is a graduate of Texas A&M University. WHOOP! Although, my husband and I were born and raised in "Sooner Country", we will support an "Aggie" in our household:). I'm very pleased to have Jade back close to home so we can enjoy mother daughter time! Milo, our family pet gives me plenty of snuggle time. He is our Maltese addition that keeps us smiling and busy! (thanks to JADE) My niece Kirbea also keeps me company. She is entering her Senior year at Perrin High School. Time does seem to fly by fast!
