Thank you for visiting my page. I am honored and humbled to be able to serve Highland Middle School as Principal. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or if there is anything I can help you with.   You can also follow us on Instagram and Facebook where you can keep up with the great things happening on campus.

    Our School Hours are:
    8:25 - 3:30
(Please do not allow your child to arrive on campus before 7:45)

    • Tutorials are available each morning from 7:45 - 8:20. This time is set aside to help students with homework, missed assignments and/or corrections. Tutorials are available to all students who arrive early and utilize this time constructively.

    • You can view your child's grades via "Family and Student Access", a district web program for which you can register on the emsisd.com web page.

    • Students are expected to use the day planner we provide to record assignments, projects & tests. Parents are encouraged to check their child's planner regularly.

    • Dress code is strictly enforced; we want our students to represent themselves and Highland Middle School in a positive light. Here are a few dress code expectations we hope our parents will help with, a comprehensive list of district dress code expectations can be found in the district's student handbook: pants are to be worn at the natural waist line (no sagging), students must keep their midriff, chest, shoulders and back covered at all times. For safety reasons, we do not allow flip-flops, sliders, or slippers. Jeans and shorts with holes must show no visible skin above finger-tip length. For more information about dress code or any other procedure or policy, please refer to our student handbook.

    • Cell phones have become a huge part of our students' lives.  We recognized that, and we also know that they can be useful at times in the academic setting.  Social media, however, is a potential distractor and a hard habit to break for some of our students.  With this in mind, our electronics policy is that all electronics be turned off when entering the building, and remain off unless being used for academic purposes.

    Thanks for your support!
