Just a Little About Me!!!!
I have been teaching for 23 years. I started at Azle High School teaching Resource English/Language Arts, Math, and Remedial Reading to Freshmen, Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors. After three years, I added Transition Specialist to my responsibilities. I was there for five years, but felt the pull from Eagle Mountain-Saginaw ISD! Since my husband and I have lived in and around Saginaw for many years and my children were in this district, I felt it was time to move to greener teaching pastures!
When I began in EM-SISD, I started my career with the district at Highland Middle School teaching Resource Language, Reading, and Math in 6th grade. I enjoyed the year at Highland, but really missed teaching high school students. Here at Boswell, I taught Resource English for 5 years and then moved into Content Mastery. I also worked in Language Therapy for 5 years, and I am the Department Head for Special Education this year.
Kevin and I have been married 35 years as of August 28th of this year. As you can see by the picture at the top of the page, We are grandparents! I love every minute of being Grandma! The oldest of our two children, Nicholas, is the Head Choir Director at Barbara Bush Middle School in Carrollton/ Farmers Branch ISD. Elyssa is working on her Masters of Music Education at UNT. Nicholas, Elyssa, Greyson, and Emmeryn are doing well! The youngest, Leslie Ellis, is the Dance Director at Farmersville High School in Farmersville ISD. Her husband, Michael, is in the honey business at Nature Nate's. The newlyweds are very happy! We feel blessed to have such a wonderful family!
Remember-It's a great day to be a Pioneer!
