CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR JANUARY
TEACHERS OF THE MONTH!
Brad Hayhurst, Science
Years of Teaching: 9
My Philosophy: Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.
Why do I love teaching: The students having their lives ahead of them and me being a very small part of it.
What I love at PV:The people I work with here make the work fun and interesting.
Jessica Higgins, ELA/Yearbook
Years of Teaching: 1st year
My Philosophy: I believe that all students CAN learn, and it is my job to inspire them to do so.
Why do I love teaching: Getting to know the students as individuals makes every day new and interesting. Watching them grow and improve to reach above expectations is inspiring!
What I love at PV:The camaraderie among the faculty and staff makes this a wonderful environment to be in every day. The beautiful and technologically advanced campus is very conducive to a positive learning environment.
April Robnett, Band Director
Years of Teaching: 10th year
My Philosophy: My philosophy is to work hard everyday and everything else will (hopefully) fall into place.
Why do I love teaching: Because I have the best job in the world. Who else can say they have been doing what they love AND getting paid to do it. I have been involved with music and band since the seventh grade. I get to help foster the same love I have for music everyday with students here at PV.
What I love at PV: I love my co-workers. My co-workers are not just the other teachers. My co-workers are students here at PV. We are a TEAM here at PV and the band is no different. We are all working together for a common goal--whether we make it or not is not the point--we are all striving together and that is what I love the most.
