Prairie Vista Middle School eighth-grader Brandon Keo earned first place in the area spelling bee with Highland Middle School seventh-grader Hannah Oberoi placing second. Students from EMS ISD joined top spellers representing 33 schools from across the region in the Area 12 Spelling Bee hosted at Boswell High School's Fine Arts Center on Friday, February 5. Early Thursday we were notified that the City of Fort Worth was issuing a boil water notice impacting portions of far north Fort Worth. District officials have been in contact with Fort Worth Emergency Management since the order was issued and have confirmed that none of our EMS ISD schools are affected. All activities and services are continuing as normal.
Thirty-one EMS ISD seniors signed letters of intent to play at the collegiate level on Wednesday, February 3. Boswell and Saginaw High School each celebrate 10 student-athlete signees and Chisholm Trail High School celebrates 11 signees. This is the highest number of signees the district has had to date.
On Thursday, January 28, EMS ISD's Hollenstein Career & Technology Center hosted the school district's fourth CTE Showcase.
