What is the Eagle Mountain-Saginaw ISD Education Foundation?
The EM-S ISD Education Foundation was created in 2005 with the goal of financially supporting the mission of Eagle Mountain-Saginaw ISD.  Funds raised by the Education Foundation go directly back into the district in one of the three programs: Student Scholarships, Educator Scholarships and Innovative Teaching Grants.  The Education Foundation is a non-profit 501 (c) (3).

Mission Statement
The mission of the Education Foundation is to provide critical funding to support educational learning experiences throughout the Eagle Mountain-Saginaw ISD.

Innovative Teaching Grants
The Foundation awards $1,000 scholarships to students graduating from Boswell High School, Saginaw High School, and the Watson Learning Center. Since its inception, over $76,000 in scholarships have been awarded to students graduating from these three schools.
The Foundation awards $500 scholarships to EM-S ISD staff who are continuing their education. Over $25,000 in scholarship funds to teachers, administrators, nurses, paraprofessionals and aides who are continuing their education have been granted by the foundation.

Funds for this program go directly to the classroom to help teachers bring new, innovative teaching methods and projects to the classroom. These grants cover the cost, which is often not available in the campus' general budget fund. Over $80,000 has gone directly back into the classroom through innovative teaching grants.

How You Can Help Us Raise a Strong Foundation
Jingle Bell Jog
The second Saturday in December is when the Education Foundation hosts its annual Jingle Bell Jog.  The Jingle Bell Jog was created during the 2007 school year as a 1 Mile Fun Run.  The purpose of the Jingle Bell Jog is another way for the foundation to raise funds, as well as to serve as a community-wide event.  In 2008 a 5K was added to the Jingle Bell Jog to accommodate the district's secondary students and more adult participants.  Click here for more information about the Jingle Bell Jog.

Employee Giving Campaign
Every year EM-S ISD employees have an opportunity to give back to the foundation through the annual  Employee Giving Campaign.  The Employee Giving Campaign allows employees to invest in their workplace by making a tax-deductible donation to the EM-S ISD Education Foundation. Donations can be paid with cash or check. For added convenience, employees can also have their donation automatically deducted from their paycheck in monthly installments.  Employees donated over $20,000 to the Foundation in 2012.

Golf Classic
The Annual Golf Classic is the largest fundraiser for the Education Foundation.  The Golf Classic is held in June at Sky Creek Ranch in Keller, Texas.  Click here to view images and sponsors for the 2012 Golf Classic.

Individual Contributions
The Education Foundation also has many individual and/or organizational contributors.  If an individual or an organization is interested in giving a scholarship in honor of, or in memory of, a family member or loved one or would like to make a blanket contribution to the permanent endowment they can contact the EM-S ISD Education Foundation.  All donations are tax deductible.  Click here to donate now.
