Volunteering in Our Schools

Our students benefit from the many volunteer hours that our parents and community members invest in our schools. For the safety of our students, we require all volunteers to complete a volunteer application and we run a name-based, state-wide criminal history record check on all applicants. The background check must be completed before volunteering. All parent/guardian volunteers will be also be processed through the district’s V-Soft visitor system, which scans your driver's license. All volunteers are required to reapply each year.


To be a volunteer at your child's school, follow these simple steps:

1. Download the Volunteer Application by clicking here, or you may pick up a form at your child's campus.
2. Complete the application and return to the front office of your child's school.
3. Your driver's license will be scanned and your application information entered into our V-Soft system.
4. The background check should take less than a week and then you should be cleared to volunteer in our schools.

Please note, you will need to complete a volunteer application for each campus where you wish to volunteer. We know this is an inconvenience, and are working to make our systems more aligned in order to make the process more streamlined in the future.
