    To provide students the opportunity to develop employable and marketable skills to be successful in a competitive workforce.   
    The Career clusters that I will be teaching in this year will be:
    Hospitality and Tourism
    Students who are interested in the Hospitality cluster (Chef, restaurant manager etc ) should consider taking the following courses in high school and then apply to take courses at the Hollenstein Career and Technology  Center.
                        Intro to Culinary Arts  9-10
                        Nutrition and Wellness    9-12            
                        Culinary Arts  (HCTC center course) 11-12
                        Practicum in Culinary Arts  (HCTC center course) 11-12
        Human Services
                                Principles of Human services  9-10
                                Cosmetology  I  11
                                 Cosmetology II 12
    All CTE enrolled students are encouraged to participate in their local technical student organization.  FCCLA is open for any student who has taken or is currently enrolled in any Family and Consumer Science course.

    Each Family Consumer Sciences student is a member of the local chapter of Family Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA). Involvement in FCCLA offers members the opportunity to expand their leadership potential and develop skills for life such as planning, goal setting, problem solving, decision-making and interpersonal communication necessary in the home and workplace. Students who join the state and national FCCLA organizations pay dues of $16.00 and are eligible to attend regional, state, and national leadership activities.  Local dues are $4.00 for a total of $20.00
