  • Hollenstein 3
    Classes at the Hollenstein Career and Technology Center (HCTC) equip students with the skills needed for 21st Century professional careers through an innovative, visionary approach to education in a state-of-the-art facility. The HCTC hosts 10 academies that incorporate rigorous academic study with an emphasis on career preparation through applied learning.

    Cosmetology Student Hours
    Cosmetology Class:  8:30 am-11:27 am (morning students will need to provide a ride to campus; busing is provided after class to home campus)
                                      1:55 pm-4:55 pm (afternoon students will have a bus provide transportation to class from home campus; after class is over, student will need to provide transportation home)

    Client Days are offered Wednesday and Thursday each week, during normal schools days.
    "Late Night" is usually offered on the first Monday of each month, during normal school calendar days.

  • Q: If students are interested in taking CTE classes, who should they contact?
    A: Each high school currently has a College and Career Readiness Specialist prepared to assist students.

    Q: Will students be able to participate in extracurricular activities?
    A: Since students are enrolled at their home campus, and only take advanced CTE classes at the HCTC, they can be involved in almost any campus activity.

    Q: What about transportation to the HCTC?
    A: There are two options for student transportation to the HCTC:
    • GoldStar Transit buses transport students to and from their home campus to the HCTC during the school day. 
      • Cosmetology morning students will need to provide a ride to class at 8:30am.  Cosmetology afternoon students will need to provide a ride home after class at 4:55pm.
      • Clinical Rotation, Practicum of Education, and Networking students will need to provide their own transportation to and from their assigned off-campus course requirments.
    • Students are allowed to drive themselves to and from the HCTC during the school day with permission from their parents and campus principal. Students will need to complete the on-line transportation form.  If a student chooses to drive to the HCTC, they will need to get a free HCTC parking sticker.  HCTC on-line transportation form
