Alyson M. Holley is the Assistant Director of Bands. She has been working with SHS since 2009.
From Flower Mound, Texas, Ms. Holley attended Texas Christian University to receive her Bachelor's degree Summa Cum Laude in Music Education in 2009. Ms. Holley received her Master's degree in Instrumental Conducting in 2012.
During her time at TCU, Ms. Holley performed with the Percussion Ensemble, Steel Band, Basketball Band, Symphony Orchestra, Concert Band, Symphonic Band, and Wind Symphony.
As a member of these groups, Ms. Holley had the privilege to perform in Puerto Rico, New York, Las Vegas, at the CBDNA convention, the Houston Bowl (2005), Poinsettia Bowl (2006, 2008, 2011), Texas Bowl (2007), Fiesta Bowl (2009), Rose Bowl (2010).
Ms. Holley studied percussion with Dr. Richard Gipson, Dr. Brian West, Joey Carter, & Paul Rennick. She studied conducting with Bobby Francis, Ray Lichtenwalter, John Whitewell, and James Keene.
When she has time off, Ms. Holley enjoys working on her house, wood building, spending time on her boat to ski/wakeboard or dream of her retirement house on the lake, boxing, and spending time with/training her dog, Dakota.
Ms. Holley's professional affiliations include: Texas Music Educators Association, Texas Bandmasters Association, the Percussive Arts Society, Phi Kappa Lambda.
