Many parents ask "What can I do to help my child at home?" The thing I always tell them is to have them read, read, and read some more! Reading is something that takes practice and time. The more they read, the better their stamina. Also, they are exposed to so many great vocabulary words and also makes them stronger spellers. It can be a magazine, comic book, or a novel. Anything they are interested in, is great. The local library is another great place to start to find books that are interesting to your kids. They should practice the "Five Finger" rule when seeing if a book is a good fit.
