My family      Maya, our lovable pup
This year begins my 21st year of teaching. I have taught Special Education (Resource), 4th grade, and currently 3rd grade (MY FAVORITE).  I received my Bachelor of Education Degree at the University of Nebraska (Go Huskers!!!).  I just celebrated my 11th year of marriage with my husband, Santos. We have a 21 year old son, Alex. He graduated from Boswell High school in 2015 and keeps busy working. He has decided to pursue a career in the culinary arts.   Another fun addition to our family is Maya, our shepherd mix. She keeps us on our toes as she always finds something to chew on!
Teacher Training Team           Haitian & American Teachers
This past July I went to Haiti for a third time with a small group of teachers and administrators for the Annual Teacher Training Conference sponsored by Together for Haiti.  We taught the Haitian teachers strategies and lessons in Reading, Writing, Math, and Science. It was a rewarding experience for all involved.
I enjoy spending time with friends and family, trying new foods, and playing with our dog, Maya. I am also active in my church. I am a voracious reader and enjoy many different genres. I try to read for pleasure every day.
Allergies: I am allergic to artificial red coloring, so I have to say no to some of my favorite treats if they are red, pink, or purple.
