Welcome to 1st grade!  I am thrilled to be your student's teacher this year and look forward to a wonderful school year.  Students in my classroom will have a busy day...every day!  We will read together, write together, play together, and succeed together.  In fact, the growth your child will experience this year will be tremendous!!  Join us on Class Dojo to follow our classroom successes through pictures and messages.  You will get information about joining Class Dojo at the beginning of the school year.
Our school year will get very busy very quickly.  To keep in touch with parents and students, I will often send reminders by text message or e-mail.  If you would like to receive reminders and updates from me, please sign up for my classroom reminders by texting @2afebb to the number 81010 or (817) 736-1054. On your smart phone, open your web browser and go the the following link: rmd.at/2afebb.  Follow the instructions to sign up.  You'll be prompted to download the mobile app.  If you don't have a mobile phone, go to rmd.at/2afebb on a desktop computer to sign up for email notifications.  Your reminders will be sent by text or email, depending on the method you use to sign up.
I always welcome an opportunity to visit with parents.  I hope the contact information above helps you to reach me at school.  I would love to schedule an appointment to meet with you during my conference period for any questions or concerns you may have regarding your little one.  Keep in mind that my conference time sometimes fills up quickly due to curriculum meetings, team planning, staff updates and more, so if you cannot reach me by phone, please leave me a message or email me.  I promise to get back with you as soon as I can, which could be after school or the following day.  If you are unable to meet with me during my conference period, I can make myself available after school.  I am completely open to whatever options work best for you.  Meeting the classroom needs of your child is my number one concern.
