    Coach Hudson's Bio

I began coaching the swim team here in the fall of 1998 after the previous coach, who was not a Boswell staff member, quit. I was disappointed that our school was going to drop the program, so I took over and became Boswell's first official head swim coach. Aside from the four years I lived with my family in Central America (2002-2006), swim team has been a major part of my life. Our team has grown from a handful of swimmers meeting before school to a thriving group of close to 40 well-trained and disciplined athletes. We took a total of 6 swimmers to the state meet in Austin between 2000 and 2002, and I am very proud of our accomplishments through the years. Recent honors include Boys' District Champs in 2013, Boys' District Coach of the Year in 2012 and 2013, District Girls' Coach of the Year in 2015, and Girls' and Boys' District runner-up in 2017. We took a swimmer to state last year who finished 15th in the 200 IM and 19th in the 200 Butterfly. In addition to coaching the swim team, I have taught Spanish 4AP, 5AP, 5PAP for native speakers, and Spanish 3PAP. This year I am teaching all Spanish I. My wife and I live in the Boswell area with our two sons. Our daughter graduated from Boswell in 2017 and is attending Texas Tech University. My family and I are proud supporters of all Pioneer athletic programs!
