     Welcome to Spanish 2
My name is Rafael López, and this is my third year at Boswell High School. This year I will be teaching Spanish 2 . I am originally from Puerto Rico and moved to the DFW area 11 years ago while employed with American Airlines. I spent 19 years with American, but retired to follow my dream of becoming a teacher. After coaching club volleyball for 20 years I was finally convinced to change careers and go into the teaching profession full-time.

I graduated from the University of Phoenix with a Bachelors Degree in Psychology. My family is my life, and my safe haven. I am married to a teacher, and together we have three boys ages 23, 19 and 18.

When I am not at school, coaching or with my family, I enjoy playing tennis. I have been a part of the USTA adult league for the past 14 years. This is one activity I share with my wife as we have played in several mix teams together.

Studying a second language should be and exiting and eye opening experience. The Spanish language is one of the top 4 most spoken language in the world, and the countries that speak have rich and fascinating cultures.

I am looking forward to a meaningful and exciting year !
