Mrs. Amy Hurst

I am so excited to be the dance teacher and director for Boswell High School!!
I have been dancing since I was 2 1/2 years old. I began my dance journey in studio and competed at the studio level for ten years. I attended Keller High School where I was an Indianette for four years. I also became Junior Lieutenant and Senior Captain. I loved everything about dance team which is why I decided to tryout for the Kilgore College Rangerettes. Needless to say I could not get enough dance in my life. I was a Rangerette for two years on the 70th line where I got to travel the world and dance all the time. It was incredible! After that I transferred to Texas Tech Univeristy where I received my Bachelors of the Arts in Dance. I was a part of the Texas Tech Dance Company and also got to travel the world and perform. Finally, I began teaching in 2014 at Lubbock High School where I was the Pom squad coach. I learned so much and would never want to be doing anything else but I am so excited to be directing the Pure Gold Dance Team. This will be my third year to teach in the High School level. I am so excited to share my story with my students and encourage them to dance! Go BOS!!!
