• About Me:
This is my second year at Boswell, and my seventh year in education. I have predominately taught English I and Pre-AP English I, but have taught speech and debate, as well. My husband and I have lived in Saginaw for seven years and just welcomed a baby girl named Sadie in November of 2014! She has made our family complete. She does, however, have two siblings. Our "fur children" are two long-haired miniature dachshunds named Rider Storm and Eleanor Rigby. I am an animal lover, a music lover, a novice poetry writer, and a lover of my family and friends. I consider myself a life-long learner and am consistently seeking new information in all forms.
I graduated from Midwestern State University in 2006 with a degree in Mass Communications, and an emphasis on broadcast journalism. I received my teaching license from The University of North Texas in 2009, student taught at Saginaw High School, and taught English I, Pre-AP English I, and speech at Castleberry High School for five years.
My goals for our class this year:
As an educator, I have high expectations for my students. In order to find success, high school students should be given choices and responsibilities. This is evident in my classroom. I love meeting parents, guardians, and  family members, because I believe there must be a triangle of communication and effort between the student, the teacher, and the family.  Please feel free to email, call, or set up a conference to discuss goals, concerns, and (the fun stuff!) successes.
