Hi! My name is Traci Pockrus and I wanted to tell you a little about myself. I graduated from the University of North Texas with a degree in Social Work. My teaching certification is for early childhood through sixth grade with an additional certification in English as a second language. Creating an environment for a love of learning is very important to me. In addition, I want each of my students to know how much I love them.
I have been married for 15 years to my hard working husband, Jeremy. We have two children, Chase and Sawyer. Sawyer is in third grade and is my energetic, creative child. This kid keeps me on my toes! Chase is in the seventh grade and is my laid back, sports fanatic. They have both attended Bryson Elementary since kindergarten! I am actively involved in the PTA and currently a board member as the Faculty Representative. This year I will be an assistant coach for the Girls on the Run (3-5th grade) Bryson team. As a family we are actively involved in the community, especially through sports.
In my spare time, I love reading and being outdoors. I also enjoy running and have completed several half marathons and even a full marathon! I have a passion for photography, as well. I love to travel and have visited several places in the United States and Europe. But the most important thing to me is family. Being a caring wife and loving mother has been one of my greatest accomplishments.
