• Who in the World is Mrs. Freeman?
I attended school at San Diego State University and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics in 1984 and received my teaching certificate in 1985.  I also attended the University of North Texas and graduated with a Master of Arts in Mathematics in 2001.
I taught in California for a year before moving to Lubbock, Texas where I taught for another year.  My husband was in the Air Force and we moved often!!  We even moved right back to California.  After substituting my way through the state of California, we moved to Guam.  I taught at the International Business College of Guam for almost three years.  That was a really great time!  I learned to scuba dive and even got to go diving on wrecks.  From Guam, we came back to Texas and we have lived in Fort Worth ever since.  I taught at Castleberry High School for four years before returning to school at UNT for my master's.  I taught for three years at UNT while earning my master's and another year there after receiving my degree.  Finally, I landed at Boswell and have been very happy ever since.  I love the students here and feel like I have come home.
I love teaching and feel it is my calling.  I promise to be "on" every day.  My ultimate goal is to prepare you for college-level mathematics.  To reach that goal, I will teach you higher-level thinking skills, abstract cognitive skills and organizational skills.  We will be employing Thinking Maps extensively in class in order to give students a strategy for deciphering complex, conceptual questions.
I am the UIL coach for mathematics, number sense and calculator.  We will hold practice during tutorials.
