[Dr Sutton in his Doctoral Garbs]About Dr. SuttonMy name is Dr. David Sutton. This year will be my seventh year at Chisholm Trail High School. I came to CTHS with 13.5 years of experience teaching in both the public school and college classroom. I have had the pleasure to work with many fine and outstanding students and faculty members, and the interactions I have shared with them and the learning I have completed on my own have shaped my philosophies regarding how to help all members of the educational community reach their maximum potential. The core of my beliefs, however, rests simply on one firm principle: Every student can succeed if they are shown the way. As an educator, my job is to help everyone find the way to academic mastery without blocking it for the sake of convenience or teaching students a "life lesson." I am in the business of sharing knowledge, and I purpose to move learning beyond any obstructions that keep people from achieving their academic goals. Shaping minds is not only my job, it is my passion.
Personally, I live in Fort Worth with my wife, Christina, my five children, Lance, Mackenzie, Lena, Natasha, and Thomas, and our many pets. In my free time, I like to work on scholarship focused on education, communication, social media, video games, anime, and popular culture, and I also enjoy frequenting the theaters and museums in the area. Moreover, I really, really enjoy international travel (see the current trip offering for CTHS Students to join me on an international adventure).Whether you are one of my students of the past, present, or future, a colleague, an educator, a parent, or just a person seeking assistance, feel free to reach out to me. Rangers, after all, RIDE TOGETHER!
