Eagle Mountain-Saginaw ISD prides itself on hiring and retaining quality employees. With one of the highest starting salaries and the highest 10 to 20 years experience salaries in Tarrant County, EMS ISD is able to recruit and retain excellent teachers and support personnel. The average EMS ISD teacher has 12 total years of experience with 6.1 years in the district. EMS ISD also has one of the lowest turn-over rates in the area. All employees are encouraged to further their education through a wide variety of staff development programs and workshops scheduled throughout the year.

EMS ISD also offers childcare for any employee who is eligible for benefits. Our award-winning childcare program is staffed by caring district employees and is centrally located at the Weldon Hafley Development Center. This is just one more reason teachers choose to bring their talents to EMS ISD.

In August 2026, the Eagle Mountain-Saginaw ISD Board of Trustees adopted a school tax rate increase of $0.04 per $100 valuation after decreasing the total tax rate over 29 cents since 2019.  A Voter Approval Tax Rate Election (VATRE) was called for November 3, 2026 to ratify the adopted rate. If approved by voters, the District will be able to utilize an estimated $6.1 million annually to support classrooms and student programs. Information on the VATRE election and a bond proposition is available at this link: 2026 VATRE/Bond Election. Keep in mind, however, that the amount on your annual tax bill is based on the value of your home, which is not set by EMS ISD. Tarrant Appraisal District sets the taxable value of your home, which may increase or decrease your overall tax bill when the local school tax rate is applied.
