The Benefits Department provides services to employees with benefits questions, problems related with access to or payment of benefits, benefit enrollment of newly eligible employees, and the processing of enrollment and claim forms.

How to Enroll - New Employees

 
New Employees have 31 days from their employment start date to enroll or decline coverage for themselves and their eligible dependents. New employees may choose their actively-at-work date or the first of the month following their employment date as their effective date of coverage for the TRS ActiveCare health plan. Enrollment will be done by enrolling online through First Financial Group of America.
 
Substitutes, part-time, seasonal or temporary employees who work at least 10 hours in a work week may be eligible for enrollment 31 days from their hire date and should fill out the enrollment or declination form provided at the time of your new hire paperwork. This form will be turned into the Benefits Department and enrollment will be done enrolling online through First Financial Group of America.
 
The 31 day enrollment period for new employees may happen to miss a payroll. Accordingly, new employees may see an adjustment (usually a double deduction) on their second or subsequent paychecks for the first month of coverage. Premiums or deductions will be taken for the entire month of coverage and are not prorated and any
