Budget, Taxes, & Investments
Budgeting is the process of allocating resources to the prioritized needs of a school district and provides a vehicle for translating educational goals and programs into a financial resource plan.
The budget also provides an important tool for the control and evaluation of a school district’s sources and uses of resources. With the assistance of the accounting system, administrators are able to execute and control the activities that have been authorized by the budget and evaluate performance based upon comparisons between budgeted and actual operations.
In keeping with the goals and mission adopted by the Board of Education, the annual budget focuses on the core mission of the District: Fostering a culture of excellence that instills a passion for a lifetime of continuous achievement in every student. The allocation of resources is designed to ensure ever higher student achievement and to meet the challenges of student enrollment growth and sustain a safe and secure environment for all students.
