Students have three main options when applying for a college/university.
Apply Texas: This website includes most, if not all, public colleges/universities and most private schools in Texas. We encourage students to use this application process if it is an option for your specific school(s).
Common App: The Common App is very similar to Apply Texas, but includes colleges/universities from around the country. If your school of interest isn’t found on Apply Texas, we encourage you to apply here.
College/University Website: Some colleges/universities make their application available directly on their website. We recommend only using this option if your school of interest can not be found on either of the other to options mentioned above.
The College Board is a not-for-profit organization that connects students to college success and opportunities including programs like AP, PSAT and SAT.
The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is a form that students and their families use to apply for federal financial aid including grants, loans, and work-study funds to help pay for college. The Texas Application for State Financial Aid (TASFA) is a financial aid application for Texas residents who are not eligible for the FAFSA. Find more information on the FASfA/TAFSA and Opt-Out page.
