The World Language Academy is an after-school program for EMS ISD students and their parents. Through technology and hands-on lessons from certified EMS ISD educators, participants can learn to converse in Spanish or American Sign Language.
Now in its seventh year, the program also serves as a foundation for future language learning. Students who participate get a head start in a language or have their classroom lessons reinforced through the after-school program. Studies show that bilingual learners are more competitive in the job market, increase their awareness of other cultures, and increase their brain power.

Who can sign up?
The program is open to students in Grades 2-5 (with parent/guardian) or Grades 6-8.
How do families sign up?
Participants can register by filling out the Registration form online.
When does the program take place?
Session I will be offered on Mondays, September 23 - December 2, 2024, from 6-7:30 pm. There will be no class on October 14 or November 25 due to student holidays.
Where does the program take place?
For the 2024-2025 school year, classes will be held at Marine Creek Middle School, 5825 Marine Creek Parkway, Fort Worth, TX 76179.
What does the program cost?
No fee is required for enrolled EMS ISD students and a parent or guardian.
