Onboarding to EMSISD WiFi - iOS

1. Connect to the EMSISD Guest WiFi network.
2. Open Safari and visit go.ems-isd.net. You will be re-directed to the ClearPass Onboard page - DO NOT LOG ON WITH YOUR NAME AND EMAIL ADDRESS!
3. Instead, click on the link that says To Onboard your device Click Here - Enter EMS ISD credentials - Select Login
4. Install Certificate - You will see: This website is trying to download a configuration profile. Do you want to allow this?  Select Allow - Profile Download. You will see: Review the profile in Settings app if you want to install it. Select Close.
   • Open Settings app - General - Scroll down to Profile - Select EMS Onboard Local Certificate Authority - Select Install button when prompted - Press Done when prompted and return to the Safari browser
5. Install Profile - You will see: This website is trying to download a configuration profile. Do you want to allow this? Select Allow - Profile Download. You will see: Review the profile in Settings app if you want to install it. Select Close.
   • Open Settings app - General - Scroll down to Profile - Select Device Enrollment - Select Install button when prompted - Press Done when prompted and return to Safari browser
6. Return to the Safari browser - Device provisioning complete
7. Go to WiFi settings screen and choose Forget network for EMSISD Guest Wifi
8. Select EMSISD WiFi from the Choose a Network menu and you will be connected immediately

Onboarding to EMSISD WiFi - Android

1. Download the ClearPass QuickConnect app from the Google Play Store.
2. Visit your device Network Connections settings and select the EMSISD Guest Wifi wireless network from the list.
3. Your device should prompt you to sign-in to the network* - DO NOT LOG ON WITH YOUR NAME AND EMAIL ADDRESS!
4. Instead, scroll down and click the link that says To Onboard your device Click Here - Enter EMS ISD credentials - Select Login
5. Click the button labeled I have already installed QuickConnect
6. Click the button that says Install Network Profile. Select Download then select Open to complete the install. Your device is now successfully connected to the EMSISD WiFi network.
7. Click OK. Device provisioning is now complete.
8. Return to your phone WiFi settings, long press on EMSISD Guest WiFi and choose Forget network.
9. You are now connected to EMSISD WiFi.

*If you are not automatically taken to the login page, please go to your phone's home screen and open your internet browser. Visit go.ems-isd.net and you will be redirected to the correct page.

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has launched a temporary program to help families and households struggling to afford Internet service during the COVID-19 pandemic. The temporary program, called the Emergency Broadband Benefit, provides a discount of up to $50 per month toward broadband service for eligible households. Eligible households can also receive a one-time discount of up to $100 to purchase a laptop, desktop computer, or tablet from participating providers.

Who Is Eligible for the Emergency Broadband Benefit Program? 

A household is eligible if a member of the household meets one of the criteria below: 

• Approved to receive benefits under the free and reduced-price school lunch program or the school breakfast program, including through the USDA Community Eligibility Provision in the 2019-2020 or 2020-2021 school year; 
• Has an income that is at or below 135% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines or participates in certain assistance programs, such as SNAP, Medicaid, or Lifeline; 
• Received a Federal Pell Grant during the current award year; 
• Experienced a substantial loss of income due to job loss or furlough since February 29, 2020 and the household had a total income in 2020 at or below $99,000 for single filers and $198,000 for joint filers; or 
• Meets the eligibility criteria for a participating provider's existing low-income or COVID-19 program. 

When Can I Sign Up for the Benefit? 

As of May 12, 2021, eligible households will be able to enroll in the program to receive a monthly discount off the cost of broadband service from a participating provider. Eligible households can enroll through an approved provider or by visiting getemergencybroadband.org.
