EMS ISD Volunteers

Together, We Grow Stronger

When families, schools, and communities work together, students thrive. At Eagle Mountain-Saginaw ISD, we believe that meaningful partnerships create powerful learning experiences.

From volunteering in classrooms to participating in parent organizations, there are many ways to contribute to the success of our students and schools.

Whether you're a first-time visitor or a long-time volunteer, your involvement helps foster a culture of excellence—and every effort you make supports our mission to inspire a lifetime of achievement in every student.

Volunteering in our schools

Within our schools, we have volunteers and visitors.

A visitor is a person that is allowed to attend campus functions and/or lunch with their child. You would not need to complete a volunteer form for these functions, just check-in with your driver’s license in the front office of your child’s school.

Volunteers are given an assignment or task dealing directly with children other than their own while on campus or school-sponsored trips. Volunteers must complete the Volunteer Application and have an annual criminal history check completed by the District on file. Please proceed with this application if you wish to volunteer at your child’s school. Our students benefit from the many volunteer hours that our parents and community members invest in our schools. For the safety of our students, we require all volunteers to complete a volunteer application and we run a name-based, state-wide criminal history check on all applicants. The background check must be completed and approved before volunteering. Parent/guardian volunteers will be also be processed through the district’s Raptor visitor system, which scans your driver's license each time you come to campus. All volunteers are required to reapply each year.

PARENT-TEACHER ORGANIZATIONS & ASSOCIATIONS

There are many opportunities for parents to become involved in their children’s education at Eagle Mountain-Saginaw ISD.

Some of the district’s most active groups are the Parent-Teacher Associations (PTA) at each elementary campus and the Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) at each middle and high school campus. These groups help raise funds for worthwhile projects and serve the schools and their students in a number of ways. You are able to join PTA by going to JOINPTA.ORG and selecting your campus or, for more information on how to join please contact your student's school office or any of the contacts listed below.
