Carla Hardy began teaching at Chisholm Trail High School as a voice teacher and accompanist in its opening year, 2012. The next fall, she joined the choral staff as the assistant director to her husband, Jared Hardy. The Hardy's moved to Fort Worth from Lubbock, Texas where they taught in Frenship ISD for 9 years. The Hardy's are humbled by the growth of the CTChorale in these last six years. The choirs have performed across the United States while receiving multiple and consecutive UIL Sweepstakes awards for each of the six competing choirs in the program. The Hardy's were founding sponsors for the Ranch Hands, a spirit and service organization at CTHS. The Ranch Hands grew into a separate group, Ranger Renaissance, that partners with Jostens Renaissance and focuses on the recognition and celebration of all members of the Chisholm Trail Family!
Carla Hardy graduated with both her Bachelors and Masters degrees from Wayland Baptist University. Mrs. Hardy is a frequent judge and clincian across the state and proudly served as the TMEA All-State Treble Choir Coordinator in 2016 and 2017. She is a current executive board candidate for the Texas Choral Directors Association. Carla was named the 2018 Teacher of the Year for Chisholm Trail High School, the 2018 Secondary Teacher of the Year for Eagle Mountain Saginaw ISD, and a 2018 National Educator of the Year for Jostens Renaissance. Also in 2018, Carla won an essay award through the Region 11 Education Center on the positive shift in climate and culture of CTHS. The Hardy's have been named as the 2018 Distinguished Alumni for Wayland Baptist University.
The Hardy's have two children, Jakob and Lily, who each attend schools in the CTHS feeder pattern. The Hardy family is proud to be current and future Rangers and invite you to come and see what the excitement is all about here at Chisholm Trail!
