EMS ISD is committed to keeping #EveryMemberSafe! To help our students, parents and community stay informed of our procedures, we have created a new safety and security webpage containing information about our Standard Response Protocols, ways parents, students and staff can help during an emergency situation, how to report a concern, and information and resources about bullying. Click here to visit the new webpage. Specific information about our Standard Response Protocols for LOCKOUT, LOCKDOWN, EVACUATE, SHELTER and HOLD can be found here.
EMS ISD personnel are always working to review and improve our safety protocols to maintain safe and nurturing learning environments. Every school regularly practices safety procedures with all students and staff through discussions and emergency drills, and our staff trains annually in district response procedures. We also partner with our Fort Worth and Saginaw police departments to provide armed School Resource Officers, who provide security and support campus leaders when the need arises. The 2017 Bond Program also includes items for safety and security enhancements districtwide, including security cameras, exterior improvements and controlled entrances at campuses that currently do not have them. These items are priority projects in the bond.
Safety is our highest priority in EMS ISD and we work in partnership with all members of our community to keep #EveryMemberSafe in EMS ISD!
