The spring semester of the World Languages Academy begins on January 28 at EMS ISD's Hollenstein Career and Technology Center. Online registration for the spring semester is now open through January 24. Participants may also register at the door on January 28 from 5-6:30 pm with sessions taking place from 6-7:30 pm. If families would prefer to pay by cash or check, they may do so on site on January 28.

The final session on April 1 will end with a celebration that highlights the cultural aspects of the language.

This unique language enrichment program provides a way for parents and their children to learn a language together and build cultural awareness. Taught by certified EMS ISD educators, the program currently offers courses in Spanish I, Spanish II, and American Sign Language, with additional courses being considered for future sessions as the program continues to grow.

The spring 2019 classes will be held on Mondays from 6-7:30 pm at EMS ISD's Hollenstein Career and Technology Center, 5501 Marine Creek Parkway, Fort Worth, 76179. Additional program details:

  • Open to Grades 2-5 (with parent/guardian) or Grades 6-8
  • Free to EMS ISD students; Adult: $50 for spring semester
  • Spring Session: Mondays from January 28 - April 1, 6-7:30 pm
