Four EMS ISD students place in Lions Club International Drug Awareness Poster Contest

Four EMS ISD students placed in the Lions Club International District 2E2 Drug Awareness Youth Poster Contest and received gift card prizes along with ribbons.

EMS students took the top three placements in the fifth and sixth grade division, and took third place in the seventh, eighth, and ninth grade division. The placements were:

 

1st place Blue Ribbon Winner & $100 gift card - Juan Berry, sixth-grader from Creekview MS

2nd place Red Ribbon Winner & $50 gift card - Emily Alvarez, fifth-grader from  Comanche Springs ES

3rd place White Ribbon Winner & $25 gift card - Danica Krumland, sixth-grader from Creekview MS

"It is amazing that four of the six students that entered posters from EMS ISD placed and won ribbons and awards at the Regional level," said Kelli Dougher, Saginaw Lions Club President. 

District 2E2 is made up of 72 clubs in the Fort Worth area. The winners were recognized at the Saginaw Lions Club meeting on February 5.
