Color Guard wins WGI Dallas Regional Championship

Over the weekend, our district elite team known as Eagle Mountain Independent won the Winter Guard International Dallas Regional Championship - Independent A category.  There were more than 33,000 participants at the WGI regional competition for indoor color guard, percussion, and winds. This latest accomplishment for EMI ranks them 1st in their category for the state of Texas and 6th in the nation.

The members of EMI are made up of students from Boswell, Chisholm Trail, and Saginaw High Schools. This year's program is entitled “You Get My Love” performed to Pink’s song of the same title. The show tells the story of a proposal to whoever gets your love. Regardless of mistakes or hard times, love will always conquer all. Members are dressed in gold tones with accents of 24k printed on the costume. Using flags printed with diamonds and actual gold rings, the students perform the production on a large printed gold ring.
