HCTC students advance to Texas Public Service Association state competition

HCTC Law Enforcement, Court Systems, and Forensic Science students, representing all four EMS ISD high schools, competed in the Texas Public Service Association regional contest January 18 & 19 in Granbury, Texas. Eighteen students are moving on to the state competition in Bryan, Texas on March 28-29, 2019. Due to their outstanding results, the HCTC received the 1st place team trophy at the regional competiton. 

Here are the HCTC seniors advancing to state in their contest category:

Traffic Stop - Lauren Leblanc (SHS)

Foot Pursuit - Elijah Witsaman (WHS) 

911 Call Taker - Chrishtian Barnes (CTHS)

Cell Extraction - Haley Nobles (CTHS), Dillon Ledgerwood (SHS), Ryan Kraus (CTHS), Colten Ramirez (CTHS), Bryson Southard (CTHS), Jacob Stepp (CTHS)

CSI - Christian Williams (SHS), Jade Staudt (SHS), Kylie Denton (CTHS)

Blood Spatter - Christian Williams (SHS), Angel Pace (SHS), Jillian Lemons (BHS)

Closing Argument - Mariela Gutierrez Robles (CTHS)

Qualifying Witness - Levi Fortune (SHS)

Crash Investigation - Brooke Horton (BHS), Kayla Avila (CTHS), Chrishtian Barnes (CTHS)

The mission of the Texas Public Service Association is to provide Law, Public Safety, Corrections, and Security students with knowledge, skills, leadership, and student growth through real world career preparation, experience, training and competition opportunities.
